Mixing business and personal expenses? Let's untangle it

We’ve all been there. You grab a coffee and wonder, “Was that personal or business?” You Venmo a friend for dinner, then realize you also paid your assistant from the same account. It gets out of control fast.

Keeping everything in one place makes your bookkeeping harder than it needs to be. It also makes tax time harder and leaves you guessing about how your business is really doing.

This is totally fixable. Start by opening a separate business account and using it just for business income and expenses. I help clients with this all the time. We figure out what goes where and set up a system that’s clear and easy to stick with.

It’s okay if things are still a little mixed up. That’s what I'm here for.
