The bookkeeping software I recommend (and why)
I use Xero for most of my clients because it’s intuitive, reliable, and built for everyday use without being complicated. The reports make sense, the layout is clean, and the bank feeds stay connected.
You can only keep everything in a spreadsheet for so long. Wave can be a good place to start, but you’ll outgrow it quickly. Quickbooks is powerful but more than most people need, and I’ve worked through plenty of glitches and duplicate transactions along the way.
Your bookkeeping software should make life easier. You shouldn’t have to wonder if your reports are right or sort through statements to figure out what really happened.
